Offered here is a pair of antique wooden dumbbells, beautifully worn and full of character that showcase the history of early physical culture and training. Hard to find as a matched set and increasingly collectible. Estimated to date to the early 1900s, these solid wood exercise weights are a wonderful example of early fitness equipment, long before modern metal dumbbells became standard.

Each dumbbell is hand-turned from solid wood, with a warm, aged patina developed over decades of use. With no maker’s marks present, their appeal lies in their honest wear and authentic primitive craftsmanship. These would make an excellent addition to a vintage fitness collection, primitive décor, or as a unique display piece for a home gym, office, or retail space. These are in fair antique condition, consistent with age and extensive use. Wear includes scrapes, scratches, surface cracks, stains, small gouges, and notable wear to the ends.
